Quality Inspector

Job Description Location: Chelmsford, Massachusetts Schedule: 2nd Shift Employment Type: Direct Hire CoWorx is seeking a Quality Inspector in the Chelmsford, MA area! This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented quality professional with a strong background in electronics and electromechanical manufacturing environments. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring products meet customer requirements, engineering specifications, and industry quality standards through in-process and final inspections. Responsibilities Perform visual, mechanical, and electrical inspections of in-process and finished products. Verify products meet workmanship, engineering, customer, and quality specifications. Conduct inspections on materials and components while documenting inspection results and non-conformances. Assist in identifying quality issues, troubleshooting problems, and supporting corrective actions. Set up and operate a variety of testing instruments and inspection equipment. Perform and review pull testing and other quality verification activities. Utilize blueprints, engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), work instructions, and specifications during inspections. Maintain accurate inspection records, non-conformance reports, and quality documentation. Track and update product status within company databases and quality systems. Support statistical process monitoring and quality reporting initiatives. Assist fellow inspectors with complex inspection assignments. Participate in continuous improvement and Total Quality Management (TQM) initiatives. Follow all safety policies and OSHA guidelines. Desired Background/Skills Minimum of 5 years of quality inspection experience, preferably within an electronics or electromechanical manufacturing environment. Experience inspecting electronic assemblies, components, and finished products. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620 certification or experience strongly preferred. Experience using inspection and testing equipment in a manufacturing setting.
