Land Maintenance Technician

Keep safety and environment as the number one priority and utilize PPE when required Wash solar panels using panel washing equipment Perform land maintenance related to vegetation, including pulling weeds, mowing, raking, sweeping, and cleaning Operate landscaping equipment including tractors, riding mowers, push mowers, weed whackers, and other required land maintenance equipment Identify process improvements and communicate them to the Land Maintenance Supervisor Apply over-the-counter chemicals such as Round Up and fertilizer as directed Perform other duties as assigned Requirements High school diploma or GED Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite, email, expense reporting, and work order management systems Understanding of general workplace safety and ability to follow safety standards Knowledge of applicable safety and environmental regulations Ability to read, write, and understand English Excellent hands-on abilities with strong technical skills Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional and geographically diverse organization Applicator license credential preferred Driver’s License preferred and/or ability to travel to site Ability to work outdoors in windy, dusty, and high-heat conditions Ability to stand, sit, walk, kneel, twist, climb stairs and ladders, and enter plant equipment Ability to use personal protective safety equipment Ability to work around rotating and energized equipment, hazardous materials, and chemicals Ability to lift as appropriate to perform duties and responsibilities Willingness to work overtime and non-standard working hours as required Ability to travel occasionally in California Core Competencies Demonstrates strong hands-on abilities and technical skills in land maintenance and safety practices, with a focus on operating landscaping equipment and adhering to environmental regulations.
