Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Ultrasound Technologist (FGP) - Manhattan, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Cardiac. In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for performing all diagnostic ultrasound procedures under general supervision in a specialty area.

Job Responsibilities:

• Alerts the appropriate medical staff of abnormalities that require immediate attention. Compares present echocardiograms to previous studies to monitor changes in present status. Carries out assignments within a realistic time frame.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Interacts with patients by identifying self to patient and verifies the identity of the patient by checking the patients ID bracelet or verbal acknowledgement by patient. Technician explains the procedure and equipment to the patient clearly and provides patient privacy at all times.
• Writes reports based upon completion of the scan. Documents the scans according to the departmental procedures. Enters, maintains, and records all pertinent patient data. Must use good judgment when determining if the procedure was sufficient for proper diagnoses.
• Usage of highly technical equipment to produce scans and conduct procedures.
• Uses advanced judgment when determining if the procedure was sufficient for proper diagnoses, or if additional imaging procedures are needed.
• Navigates and performs advanced scans using appropriate equipment.

Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Registered as an American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. Five years of experience in a specialty capacity required. Completion of an approved ultrasound technology educational program. Fetal Echo certification preferred. College graduate is preferred. Required Licenses: Am Rgtry Diagn Med Sonographer

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $113,037.27 - $113,037.27 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
