The Master Plumber is responsible for overseeing plumbing projects from inception to completion, ensuring installations and repairs meet all safety and code standards. This role involves interpreting blueprints, managing teams, and consulting clients to deliver efficient and compliant plumbing solutions.
Responsibilities
- Install pipes and fixtures according to specifications
- Maintain and repair plumbing systems
- Interpret blueprints and technical diagrams
- Ensure compliance with plumbing codes and regulations
- Diagnose and repair leaks and other plumbing issues
- Supervise and coordinate the work of plumbing teams
- Conduct safety inspections on job sites
- Plan projects and estimate material requirements
- Consult with clients regarding plumbing needs and solutions
- Troubleshoot complex plumbing problems
- Facilitate acquisition of permits as required
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in plumbing
- Vocational training in plumbing
- Master Plumber License
- Experience with pipefitting
- Skilled in blueprint reading
- Knowledge of plumbing codes
- Strong safety compliance awareness
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Effective time management
- Customer service orientation
- Proven team leadership abilities
