Responsibilities

• Draw high-quality blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established procedures and safety protocols.
• Prepare specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring proper labeling, handling, and documentation according to protocol.
• Explain procedures to patients to create a trusting environment, fostering confidence and comfort during the collection process.
• Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation for each specimen collected.
• Adhere to safety standards and maintain a professional, clean environment at all times.

Required Skills

• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric blood draws

Additional Skills & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington)
• Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience required; over 1 year preferred
• Customer service experience in retail or service environment preferred
• Reliable transportation to the worksite within 20-25 minutes of home
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime as needed
• Must be punctual, dependable, and able to stay for entire scheduled shift without excessive absences
