Step into the rewarding world of supporting young learners through speech and language services in a vibrant school setting. We are seeking motivated professionals eager to make a difference for children from birth through 12th grade. Your expertise will help shape essential communication skills for students ranging from early intervention/early childhood special education (EI/ECSE, Birth–5) to K–12 programs, working alongside a collaborative educational team.
This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to begin making an impact starting August 26. With two openings available, you’ll play a vital part in helping students reach their academic and personal potential.
Desired Skills and Background:
- Valid licensure and credentials as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) appropriate for public school settings
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric therapy (preferred)
- Ability to deliver services across a range of ages, including early intervention, preschool, and school-aged students
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to culturally responsive and inclusive practices
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to students with diverse needs
- Conduct assessments, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and track progress
- Collaborate with families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain documentation, prepare reports, and attend eligibility or team meetings
- Create engaging, evidence-based sessions adapted for each student’s unique strengths
- Manage a moderate caseload, supporting a balanced workload
Schedule and Perks:
- Full-time commitment: five days/week, eight hours/day
- Dedicated preparation: 225 minutes weekly to support effective service delivery
- 30-minute duty-free lunch break each day
