As a Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to patients with gastrointestinal disorders. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients while working alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive healthcare services and coordinate patient careAssessing and treating patients with gastrointestinal diseases and conditionsWork closely with a team of healthcare professionalsAssess, diagnose, and treat residents' physical and mental well-beingConduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and physical examinationsOrder and interpret diagnostic testsDevelop accurate diagnoses and treatment plansPrescribe medication and administer treatmentsProvide counseling to residents and their familiesCollaborate with the interdisciplinary team for seamless coordination of careManage chronic conditions and monitor progressMake appropriate adjustments to care plansCommitment to person-centered careCreate a safe and nurturing environment for elderly residents in the nursing homeRequirementsMinimum 6 months of experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facilityActive and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician licenseDEA LicenseCPR BCLS/BLS certifiedMust hold a Master's Degree in NursingCompleted a degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner programA year of experience in GastroenterologyPreferred experience in Documenting EMR (Sigma, Visual, PCC, etc.): training providedMust have great organizational and time management skills.Prolonged standing and walking on facility floors. Carrying a medical bag, laptop, tablet or diagnostic equipment. Bending, stooping, or assisting with positioning during exams. Navigating multi-level buildings, potentially with stairs or uneven surfaces.
