Schedule and Pay:

1st Shift: Monday-Thursday 6:00 AM – 3:15 PM; Friday 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM

Salary Grade F

$24.25 - $28.70

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for conducting preventive and repair maintenance on the plant as well as equipment.

Job Duties:

• Conducts preventive maintenance as scheduled, e.g. oil change, greasing, filters, chain tension, etc.
• Performs repairs on machines and equipment as assigned, i.e. replacing blades, switches, etc.
• Performs basic electrical, electronic, plumbing, and hydraulic repairs.
• Shovels snow and operates skid loader for snow removal.
• Performs ground work as needed.
• Assists with installation of new equipment.
• Welds and cuts using wire feed, oxygen-acetylene torch as well as plasma.
• Maintains the work area, machinery, and tools in a neat, clean, safe and orderly fashion.
• Always adheres to safety standards.
• Provides tools as required on tool listing.
• Maintains forklift certification and valid MN Driver's License.
• Makes repairs at apartments and fitness center.
• Maintains all documentation by computer related to this position, i.e. time cards, work orders, etc.
