Job Skills / Requirements Lobby Security Officer – Houston, TX 77027 United Protective Services is seeking a professional and customer-focused Security Officer to provide a combination of lobby security and routine patrols at a high-rise commercial property in Houston. The ideal candidate will have strong professional etiquette, communication skills, and situational awareness. This position requires someone who can provide a welcoming presence in the lobby while also conducting regular patrols to help maintain a safe and secure environment. Schedule Saturday–Sunday: 7:00 AM–3:00 PM Thursday–Friday: 3:00 PM–11:00 PM Key Responsibilities Maintain a professional security presence in the lobby and throughout the property. Greet and assist tenants, visitors, and guests in a courteous manner. Monitor and control access to the property. Conduct routine interior and exterior patrols as assigned. Monitor hallways, common areas, parking areas, and other designated locations. Identify and report suspicious activity, safety concerns, and security issues. Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies. Follow post orders, access-control procedures, and client expectations. Maintain accurate daily activity and incident reports. Communicate professionally with property management, tenants, visitors, and emergency personnel. What We're Looking For Previous security or customer service experience preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Customer-service mindset. Strong observation and attention to detail. Ability to conduct routine patrols and remain active throughout the shift. Ability to follow written procedures and post orders. Ability to remain calm and professional during incidents or emergencies.
