Through a wide variety of programs, MAAC has grown to become one of the largest nonprofit social service organizations in the community.POSITION SUMMARYAs part of the Evaluation & Compliance Team, the incumbent performs duties to support MAAC's quality assurance and improvement efforts. This role works on-site as assigned. This role supports staff efforts to focus on interventions as needed to continually improve the quality of care and service delivered by services. As the QA Coordinator, the incumbent role is to support compliance and improvement as needed for maintenance of records, service delivery processes, and support appropriate data collection and reporting.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSupport monitoring and evaluating the quality, impacts, and outcomes of program and its servicesSupport privacy and confidentiality records and practicesSupport with training and identify improvement opportunities and implementing corrective actionsSupport required data collecting, trending, analyzing, and reportingSupport opportunities to determine program satisfaction and related improvement effortsSupports compliance of reporting, auditing, and other program standardsSupports ongoing evaluations, monitoring and documentation of interventions and activitiesSupport review of program incidents, grievances, and appeals for timely resolutionSupport program staff efforts with routine internal audit, corrective actions, and program activitiesSupport program staff with routine communication of any monitoring findingsSupport documentation of required trainings and other program required files and documentationOther duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLSKnowledge of use and maintenance of electronic recordkeeping and trainingMonitoring quality improvement processesDemonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, and other database management software systems.Ability to work well independently and within a teamUnderstand and interpret policies and procedures, prepare clear and accurate records and reportsPossesses strong data and analytical skills, be detail oriented, and have excellent customer service skills.Be well-organized and adaptive to fluctuating working assignments and have a positive attitude in work style to accomplish the goals of quality improvementSet-up, organize and maintain specialized and confidential files in compliance with MAAC policy and applicable law and regulationsEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATIONMinimum: Associate's degree or equivalentPreferred: Background in social sciences, psychology, business, quality management, healthcare administration or a related fieldExperience: At least three (3) years of experience performing work related to auditing/monitoring and analyzing files and recordsVALUE-BASED BEHAVIORSListens attentively to others; asks clarifying questions to gain a full understanding of another person's views and underlying assumptions.Works effectively in a team environment and actively participates in joint problem-solving; willingly cooperates with co-workers.Identifies and takes advantage of opportunities for personal and professional development.Attends work consistently and punctually; arrives at meetings prepared and on time; honors commitments and meets deadlines.Honors the private and confidential matters of co-workers and protects the proprietary information of MAAC systems.Follows rules, regulations, and policies, and positively contributes to implementing change.Deals with issues directly, respectfully, and in a timely manner, focusing on resolving the issue rather than criticizing the person.Demonstrates a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in all interactions and decisions.HEALTH STATUSMust have a physical examination and a drug screen by a doctor/clinic designated by MAAC prior to the first day of employment.PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDSThe physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this class. Must have or obtain a current criminal background check clearance, signed criminal record statement, and signed Acknowledgement to Report Child Abuse form prior to the first day of employment.TRANSPORTATIONMust have and maintain a valid California Driver's License, daily use of a personal, insured vehicle, and have and maintain a motor vehicle driving record acceptable to MAAC's insurance carrier. Incumbents will be enrolled in the California DMV Pull Program.
