Academic Physician - MD/DO - Pediatric Allergy Immunology

Position: Faculty position, Pediatric Allergy & Immunology Rank/Track: Assistant/Associate/Full Professor/ Clinical or Tenure track. Department: Pediatrics The Department of Pediatrics at Saint Louis University School of Medicine and SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital is seeking a full-time BC/BE Pediatric Allergist/Immunologist to grow our division. The Allergy and Immunology Physician will be charged with delivering state-of-the-art clinical care to children with allergic and immunologic conditions across our Medical Center's care delivery platforms in the Saint Louis region and beyond. The physician will also expand and innovate across the division's research and educational programs. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to continue the growth of an outstanding Allergy and Immunology program, housed within the nationally recognized and growing Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital and Saint Louis University. Clinical responsibilities include the care of children with allergic and immunologic diseases such as: Asthma Food Allergy Allergic Rhinitis & Conjunctivitis Atopic Dermatitis Eosinophilic Esophagitis and other Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Disorders

Drug Allergy Urticaria and Angioedema Anaphylaxis Mast Cell Disorders Primary Immune Deficiencies / Inborn Errors of Immunity Other programmatic activities: Development and updating of national and international patient care guidelines. Participation in conferences and presentations of talks and abstracts. Teaching opportunities and specialized electives for residents and medical students. Single, fully integrated Pediatric-Internal Medicine ACGME accredited fellowship training program, including clinical, translational, and basic science research experience. Collaboration with the Immunodeficiency Center and Bone Marrow and Stem Cell Transplantation Team for transplantation of Severe Combined Immunodeficiency and other severe primary immunodeficiency disorders. Referral center for evaluation of Very Early Onset Inflammatory Bowel Disease (VEO IBD). Qualifications: M.D. or equivalent degree. Board certified or eligible in Allergy and Immunology. Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Missouri. Completed an ACGME accredited 2 or 3-year A/I fellowship program. Experience in treating primary immunodeficiency or experience providing food oral immunotherapy is a plus. Preference for candidates with a history of teaching and research. Candidates will be hired at the Assistant, Associate or Professor of Pediatrics level, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Compensation and benefits are commensurate with experience and qualifications. Consideration to serve as Division Director may be discussed.
