Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for 3 South- Acute Cardiac/Stroke Unit . This is a Full Time, position in Williamsburg, VA. Sign on Bonus up to $20,000 available for qualified candidates! Hours: 6:45PM to 7:15AM with rotating weekend schedule. The Acute Cardiac/Stroke & IMCU Unit , 3 South, at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center provides care for patients with cardiac conditions including heart failure, cardiac rhythm disturbances, newly implanted permanent pacemakers and defibrillators, post- coronary interventions, post-ablation, myocardial infarctions. 3 South also cares for pre/post catheterization, and acute stroke. This 24-bed unit sees a ratio of 1:6 with assistance of Patient Care Techs with a ratio of 1:8 on average. The unit cares for patients with acuity higher than a typical medical-surgical unit. 3 South Acute Cardiac is also preparing for a transition to a Cardiac PCU step-down with ratio of 1:4 before year's end, making it an exciting opportunity for nurses seeking growth in a dynamic, high-acuity setting. Registered Nurse Transition to Practice Programs at Sentara Unique 6-Month Program Includes No separate application required, automatic enrollment for any RN with less than 12 months experience or transitioning to a new practice area. General Nursing Orientation Specialty Clinical Track Residency Professional Development Sessions Mentoring and Unit-based Preceptor Education Degree or Diploma from an accredited Registered Nursing Program BSN or MSN preferred. Certification/Licensure Students in the process of obtaining a Registered Nursing License BLS within 90 days of hire.
