This position will involve working in a fast-paced environment with critically ill patients and requires a high level of clinical skill and expertise.Key Responsibilities\n \n Provide direct patient care to ICU patients, ensuring the highest standards of care.\n Monitor and assess patient conditions, recognizing changes and acting accordingly.\n Administer medications, titrate drips, and manage ventilated patients.\n Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.\n Float to PCU and med-surg units as needed.\n Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.\n Qualifications\n \n Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience.\n Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.\n Experience with ventilated patients and cath lab recovery is preferred.\n Proficiency in using clinical equipment, including vents, CPAP/BiPAP, and high flow systems.\n Unit Information\n The ICU unit consists of 10 beds, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1. In normal circumstances, the patient care unit (PCU) operates with a ratio of 3:1. During peak times, ratios may adjust to a maximum of 3:1 in the ICU and 4:1 in the PCU.Schedule\n \n Shifts: 12 hours, primarily on nights.\n Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend.\n Holiday Requirements: Rotate with permanent staff.\n Additional Information\n This position requires a commitment to excellence in patient care and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
