Data EngineerRequired skills:Nine years' experience as data engineerSpecializes in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) using ETL tools Matillion, DataStage etc.Experience in Snowflake, Netezza.Experience with data warehousing techniques (Star Schema, Snowflaking, Normalization, Denormalization, Aggregations)Excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and convey technical concepts effectively.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail to address complex data challenges effectively.Responsibilities:Collaborates closely with the Project Manager (PM), Architect, and Administrators to develop ETL processes and reports.Responsible for ensuring smooth data extraction, transformation, and loading processes as an ETL developer.Detail design of source to target mappingCreate, execute and document unit test plans for ETL and data integration processes and programsCollaborates with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into effective solutions.Designs and develops ETL processes to efficiently extract data from various sources and transform it for analytical purposes.Ensures the reliability, accuracy, and performance of ETL processes and reports through rigorous testing and optimization.Maintains documentation for ETL processes, including technical specifications and user guides.Monitor and administer automated and manual data integration and ETL jobsProvides support and troubleshooting assistance for ETL processes as needed.Designs and implements optimized ELT processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources efficiently.Conducts thorough testing and validation of ELT processes and reports to ensure accuracy and reliability of data analytics.Leads code optimization efforts to enhance the performance and scalability of ELT processes and reports.Provides mentorship and support to junior developers, assisting them in solving technical challenges and improving their skills.Maintains documentation for ELT processes and reports, including technical specifications, design documents, and best practices.Collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail to address complex data challenges and optimize solutions effectively.Stays updated with the latest trends and best practices in BI, ETL, and data analytics.
