Responsible for assessing, acquiring and moving materials in support of the district needs. Ensure quality and productivity goals and standards are achieved.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Manage inventory district orders and shipping/receiving processes
• Assign duties to the shipping and receiving clerks and assure completion
• Monitor product movement along with all appropriate paperwork
• Confers with others to coordinate activities between departments as necessary
• Perform tasks to ensure accurate and timely transactions
• Recommends improvements to production methods, procedures, equipment performance and work practices to management
• Daily warehouse facility inspections
• Ensure compliance within the facility as it relates to quality, productivity, safety and security
• Demonstrates methods and trains employees in tasks or equipment operation
• Operate loading and unloading equipment, hoists and other specialized material handling equipment.
• Operate loaders and other equipment to transport materials to and from transportation vehicles and loading docks and to store and retrieve materials in warehouses
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, not required
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a warehouse environment, or equivalent skill and knowledge
• Basic education, reading, writing and math skills needed to perform responsibilities.
• Sensitive to confidential information.
• Must work independently and as a member of team.

• Strong physical and mental health to maintain demanding workload.
• Able to work under stressful conditions at times.
• Communication – verbal and written communication.
• Seeing - able to see details.
• Climbing - able to go up, down and over equipment in a safe manner using good judgment and proper safety equipment as is required.
• Position will require a minimum of 40 hours per week with frequent overtime demands based on the workload requirements.
• Using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations or standards.
• Strong work ethics of integrity, honesty and strives for excellence in all activities.
• Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish work.
