Whether you are in Nashville or at one of our outlying locations, you are treated like family!**Essential Responsibilities:** * Inspect equipment and identify tire, wheel, and DOT-related deficiencies.* Perform tire service and repairs in accordance with company procedures and Tire Industry Association (TIA) safety standards.* Follow the company's tire management program to inspect every unit entering the yard and identify maintenance needs.* Accurately document inspections, repairs, and recommendations in company computer systems.* Communicate repair needs to the shop, management, or outside service providers as appropriate.* Provide professional, courteous service while assisting drivers and internal customers.* Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and operational protocols.* Identify opportunities to improve processes and communicate recommendations to management.* Share best practices and contribute to a collaborative team environment.* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.* Perform other duties as assigned. ## **Qualifications:** * Must be at least 18 years of age.* Valid Driver License required.* High school diploma or GED required.* Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and Windows applications.* At least one year of consistent employment or education.* Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.* Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.* Relocation assistance is not available for this position. ## Physical Requirements: * Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.* Ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, and work underneath commercial equipment.* Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and tools as required.* Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday. ## Preferred Skills: * Strong work ethic and self-motivation.* Dependable, responsible, and committed to producing high-quality work.* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.* Ability to interpret inspection findings and recommend appropriate corrective action.* Ability to follow written procedures, safety standards, and operational guidelines.* Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and complying with all company and DOT safety requirements. ### Due to the collaborative nature of the work environment, the spontaneous need for idea generation and execution, and the potential for expedited remediations, responses, or information gathering, in-person, in-office attendance is an essential function of this position.*Western Express, Inc. is committed to a policy of Equal Employment Opportunity and will not discriminate against an applicant or employee based on race, color, religion, creed, national origin or ancestry, sex, pregnancy, age, physical or mental disability, veteran or military status, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, or any other legally recognized protected basis under federal, state, or local law.
