Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for students with chronic health conditions. Assist Nursing Chair in implementing a comprehensive school health services program, thus advancing the health, well‑being, and academic achievement of all students Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities Provides screening and referral for health conditions, including vision, hearing and others Promotes a healthy school environment. Monitors immunizations and communicable diseases per state requirements. Assesses physical environment for safety Promotes health through teaching, programming, and consultation with individuals or groups Serves as a leader for health policies and programs through mentoring and positive role modeling Serves as liaison between school personnel, families, community, and health care providers.
