Responsibilities

Draw quality blood samples from patients across different clinical environments, including pediatric and geriatric populations.

Prepare specimens for laboratory testing by following established procedures and safety protocols.

Verify patient demographic information and label specimens accurately in the presence of the patient.

Maintain accurate records and documentation of blood draws and patient information.

Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, explaining procedures to build trust and confidence.

Ensure a safe, professional, and compliant environment in each setting.

Travel between multiple sites as needed, demonstrating flexibility and reliability.

Perform capillary collections and other specimen processing duties following established practices.

Required Skills

Proven phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections.

Excellent blood collection skills with professionalism and safety awareness.

Strong attention to detail for specimen labeling, verification, and documentation.

Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to different clinical environments.

Effective communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration.

Additional Skills & Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in certain states such as California, Nevada, and Washington.

1-3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections, required.

Customer service experience in retail or service environments strongly preferred.

Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver license, and a clean driving record.

Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Ability to travel between multiple sites efficiently and submit mileage for expense reimbursement.
