Exercise professional judgment to provide health‑care services, including x‑ray to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups. Job Description The Radiologic Technologist (RT) works with medical providers and/or medical assistants with the examination and treatment of GoHealth Urgent Care patients. The role is responsible for providing a variety of technical procedures and applying prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. The RT performs and analyses patient x‑rays and reports results to providers. Additional responsibilities include providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the centers and supporting patient care management. Job Requirements Education Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program required. High school diploma or equivalent required. Work Experience Experience in a clinical setting preferred. Required Licenses / Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) required at hire. American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration required. Applicable state licensure as a radiologic technologist required. Essential Functions Perform x‑ray services as needed. Under the direction of the provider, assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients of all age groups. Ensure patients are positioned correctly and protected during use. Assist with patient transport from wheelchair. Patient Preparation and Rooming Inform technical staff of patient flow. Prepare patients for examination, conduct interviews to verify information, record medical history, and confirm purpose of visit. Perform preliminary physical tests for vital signs and escalation of critical cases. Conduct point‑of‑care testing as needed and provide information to provider. Administrative Maintain medical records and scan charts to patient files. Perform courtesy call‑backs for patient follow‑up. Document daily controls and calibration of equipment; maintain QA/QC logs and perform maintenance. Other Responsibilities Collaborate with providers to determine procedures or views that assist diagnoses. Explain procedures, ensure patient comfort and safety, and answer questions. Position patients and equipment for optimal imaging. Select proper ionizing factors for high‑quality diagnostic images. Maintain and clean equipment and manage supplies. Adhere to radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles. Maintain accurate patient records and log completed procedures. Verify image quality and ensure images are sent for interpretation. Knowledge Knowledge of x‑ray procedures, protocols, anatomy, and physiology. Knowledge of radiology equipment and safety hazards. Skills Position patients properly for x‑ray procedures. Identify equipment problems and notify supervisor. Follow infection control and radiological safety procedures. Note: This job description is not inclusive of all duties for the position.
