Packer 1 (2nd Shift)

Job Summary Responsible for packaging parts for shipment/transport. Job Overview Reports to : Department Supervisor Location : Garden Grove, CA Type : Full-Time Schedule : 2nd Shift (3:30 pm - 12:00 am) Responsibilities Measure, weigh, and count products and materials Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products to ensure that packing specifications are met Ensure that all documentation is kept with the materials Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records Seal containers or materials using stretch wrap, tape, and other packaging materials Assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers using hand tools Clean containers, materials, supplies, or work areas using cleaning solutions and hand tools Follow instructions from supervisor pertaining to specific instructions or tasks Ensure integrity of parts after processing (damage, scratches, etc.) Visually inspect parts to ensure the process has been completed correctly Perform other duties as assigned Skills & Abilities Education : High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) – required Other Physical Requirements Vision (Near, Distance) Sense of Sound – able to hear average conversationSense of Touch Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – Safety Glasses Standing for long periods of time Benefits Compensation Range: $16.90 - $19.60 (DOE) + Shift differential Medical, Dental, Vision, Employer Paid Basic Life, Supplemental Life Insurance, 401k with Employer Match Generous Paid Time Off program 8 Holidays and 1 Floater Holiday Work Environment The majority of work is performed in a manufacturing setting. This position requires access to knowledge and technical data regulated by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
