About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: Must be licensed to practice in the state Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Epic charting experience Description: Registered Nurse position available in a Progressive Care Unit. Shift consists of 3 twelve-hour night shifts. Candidates must have a minimum of one year of experience. First-time travelers are welcomed to apply. Weekend coverage is required. Candidates must hold certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. Experience with Epic charting is preferred. The patient ratio is 1:4-5 during all shifts. The unit primarily cares for adult and geriatric patients. Daily patient diagnoses include critical care stepdown, neuro/stroke, and cardiac patients. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Candidates may need to float within the hospital or to nearby facilities. Candidates must provide two supervisory references. Requests for time off should be kept to a minimum during the initial part of the assignment.
