Specialist-Risk Management/Patient Safety

Provides overall Risk Management and Safety support to Arizona Practice. Assists the Arizona Practice in the implementation, coordination, and documentation of a clinical risk identification, management, reduction and error prevention program; including record reviews and staff investigations. Assumes direct responsibility, as assigned, for the Sentinel Event/Serious Harm review process, including but not limited to: Sentinel Event/Serious Harm determination, investigations/interviews with staff and Root Cause Analysis reviews. Provides risk management consultation to physicians, administration and allied health staff. Assumes responsibility with the Risk Management and Patient Safety Manager for taking “on” and “off-hours” risk management “call” duties, via the pager system, as assigned by Risk and Patient Safety Manager. Engages in development of ongoing risk management and patient safety education for allied health staff, consultant staff and residents. Accountable to the Administrator of Quality and the Risk Management and Patient Safety Manager for patient safety activities as assigned. Upon request, assists the Administrator of Quality and the Risk Management and Patient Safety Manager in administrative duties and assigned projects. **This position is hybrid, individual must live within driving distance to campus **This vacancy is not eligible for sponsorship / we will not sponsor or transfer visas for this position.
