American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist - Special Procedures with 1+ years of IR experience and expertise in neuro (stroke) and trauma (body) cases for a level 1 trauma center. Requirements 1 year of IR experience required Neuro (stroke) and Trauma (body) experience required BLS (AHA Only) certification required ARRT (R) certification required TX-MRT license required Active TX license required if applicable Flu shot required with no exemptions granted 2 professional references required Responsibilities Interventional Radiology Lab setting within a level 1 trauma center and comprehensive stroke program Performs IR procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients for diagnosis of disease and injury 4x10 hour AM shifts, Monday-Friday with a rotating day off Call required Performs high quality IR procedures under general supervision of a Radiologist according to established protocols Uses AIDET communication techniques with patients and families to explain procedures and confirm exam accuracy Prepares patients and equipment for procedures, including positioning and adjusting immobilization devices Adheres to safety, infection-control, and radiation policies, using proper sterile techniques for invasive procedures Maintains equipment, work area, and supply inventory, coordinating with engineers and physicists as needed Screens individuals for department entry per safety protocols Maintains accurate documentation including patient history, consent forms, and imaging records Provides care across all age groups from newborn to geriatric May serve as a preceptor for new team members Scrubs provided Candidates must be able to respond to the hospital in under 30 minutes due to trauma and stroke team responsibilities Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts #J-18808-Ljbffr Newsandtribune
