Sr. IT Software Asset Management Analyst

Sr. IT Software Asset Management Analyst Need a senior resource who can communicate well to multiple levels, work cross functionally, ready to handle moderate adversity associated with enterprise level process change. Candidates should have experience putting together a ITSAM program and delivering – not just working in ITSAM. Austin, TX 78723 (Onsite) 12+ month Contract Client is looking for a qualified BSA Sr. with skills and focus on IT Software Asset Management best practices. This staff person will be reporting to the ITAM Program Manager to lead a citywide effort, to centralize license management, implement strategies to reduce duplication, and ensure the adoption of software best practices. Responsibilities: Assist with establishing a centralized SAM strategy that includes development of an approved list of software and an associated implementation plan. This plan should address, at a minimum, the lifecycle phases, funding aggregation, and other considerations, including the use of SaaS. Assist with developing and executing the ITAM programs software management centralization plan to centralize license management, implement strategies to reduce duplication, and ensure the adoption of software management best practices where possible. Assist with establishing policy and procedures for software agreements and licenses. Assist with implementing strategies to reduce duplication of citywide software. Assist in developing an assessment and approval process to determine the cost and benefit of purchasing software maintenance programs. The process should include a means of assessing operational impacts and risks, including information security and privacy. Assist with developing a Digital Media Library (DML) best practice to maintain current software versions. Assist in developing a process to respond to software vendor audits, license validation requests, and theft and fraud investigations. Assist in developing methodologies, policies, and practices for software asset life cycle management What you need to have: Three to five years of experience in IT Asset Management/Software Asset Management, and discovery tools. Knowledge of specific vendor licensing schemes from vendors such as Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, IBM, etc. Experience with ITSM work-flow management tools like ServiceNow\Jira, etc. Leverage knowledge of software deployment, device inventory, software asset management (SCCM, ADDM) Working knowledge of NIST security best practices. Preferred Education/Experience Requirements: College degree in business or technology preferred. Certified Software Asset Manager or Certified IT Asset Manager preferred My3Tech Inc
