About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join a high-acuity Pulmonary Unit caring for adults with complex medical and respiratory needs. The Pulmonary Unit manages a wide variety of patients experiencing:

• Shortness of breath (SOB)
• COPD exacerbations
• Asthma complications
• Pneumonia and respiratory infections
• Post-surgical respiratory monitoring
• Oxygen dependence / ventilator support
• General medical-surgical conditions requiring pulmonary oversight

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Complete comprehensive patient assessments, focusing on respiratory status
• Monitor and support patients experiencing shortness of breath (SOB) and pulmonary distress
• Develop and manage individualized care plans
• Administer medications and oxygen/respiratory therapies
• Recognize and act quickly on changes in patient condition
• Coordinate with respiratory therapists, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members
• Educate patients and families on medications, disease process, and discharge care
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory standards
• Prioritize care safely in a 7:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Promote a positive and collaborative care environment

Schedule & Unit Details

• Night shift - 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend rotation expected
• No on-call
• 45-bed unit
• Fast-paced, team-driven work culture

Candidates MUST live within commutable distance.
Applicants will NOT be considered if they live 60 minutes or more from the facility.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (Florida or Compact)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience
  
  
  • Acute care not required - Home Health, LTAC, SNF, Outpatient Rehab, and Corrections experience accepted
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred
• BLS (AHA) - required prior to start
• NIH Stroke Scale & ACLS - must be obtained within 30 days of start

Compensation & Incentives
Category Details Base hourly rate $30.69 - $43.20/hr (experience based) Night differential + $4.25/hr Weekend differential + $3/hr Sign-On Bonus (SOB) upto $10,000 for Day Shift / $20,000 for Night Shift Relocation assistance Available - 100+ miles, typically $2,500 - $5,000
