Medical Director

Inpatient Mental Health Residential Treatment Program | Massachusetts We are seeking an experienced Medical Director / Psychiatrist to provide clinical and medical leadership for an inpatient residential mental health treatment program in Massachusetts. This is an excellent opportunity for a psychiatrist who is passionate about delivering high-quality behavioral healthcare while working alongside a multidisciplinary clinical team. Position Overview The Medical Director will oversee psychiatric services, support clinical decision-making, and help ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and evidence-based treatment. The physician must be available to work on-site two days per week and participate in the program's on-call rotation/responsibilities . Key Responsibilities Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing clinical oversight Serve as the medical leader for psychiatric and behavioral health services Collaborate with therapists, nursing, clinical leadership, and other members of the treatment team Provide guidance on complex psychiatric and medication-related cases Support treatment planning, quality initiatives, and continuity of care Ensure services meet applicable clinical, regulatory, and documentation standards Participate in on-call coverage as required Maintain an on-site presence two days per week Qualifications MD or DO from an accredited medical school Active and unrestricted Massachusetts medical license Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry Currently practicing psychiatry in Massachusetts Experience treating individuals with primary mental health and/or co-occurring psychiatric conditions Residential, inpatient psychiatric, or other higher-level behavioral health experience strongly preferred Strong clinical leadership and interdisciplinary collaboration skills Why Join Us?
