Cover Supervisor

Cover Supervisor (CS) As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will be responsible for leading lessons in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring pupils remain focused and engaged. Key Duties Supervise whole classes using pre-prepared lesson plans. Maintain a calm, positive, and well-managed classroom environment. Manage pupil behaviour in line with school policies. Support pupils with their work and keep them on task. Ensure continuity of learning during teacher absences. Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil behaviour and lesson outcomes. Experience working with young people, ideally in a school or similar setting. Strong communication and classroom management skills. Confident in leading a classroom independently. Flexible, reliable, and well-organised approach. Ability to adapt to different subjects and situations. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
