The team is Chambers-recognized with a deep bench across NY, DC, CA, and UK, and a track record on spin-offs, IPOs, and sophisticated M&A. Role Summary
- Advise on the tax aspects of strategic and private equity M&A, joint ventures, and restructurings
- Support capital markets matters, including spin-offs and IPOs
- Counsel on investment fund formation and real estate transactions
- Research, draft, and negotiate tax provisions in core deal documents
- Interface directly with clients and help present at external programs and national tax conferences
- JD with 4-7 years of BigLaw tax experience; class years 2019-2022
- Transactional tax background touching two or more of: PE M&A, public company deals, fund formation, capital markets, or real estate
- Strong research and writing, crisp oral advocacy, and a practical approach to novel issues
- Comfortable leading calls, collaborating in office, and building external presence through speaking and writing
- Platform with momentum. The firm posted strong financial growth and continues to invest in key practices and people.
- Recognized quality. Chambers USA ranks this tax team and several of its New York partners, with broad coverage across U.S. and global guides.
- High-impact work. Partners regularly lead on spin-offs, IPO readiness, and complex cross-border transactions that stretch your technical range.
- Associate development. Formal mentorship, CLE, coaching, and structured small-group "pods" give you access to senior partners and consistent reps.
- Compensation and benefits. Base salary range $260,000 to $390,000, plus discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits including healthcare, retirement, paid leave, FSA, and parental leave.
