About the Role:
A Plus Mobile Fleet Service Inc is looking for a skilled Mobile Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Brea, CA! This is a hands-on, on-the-go opportunity for a motivated technician who thrives working independently and keeping commercial fleets running at peak performance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform on-site diesel engine diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance at customer locations
- Troubleshoot and repair heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and commercial fleet vehicles
- Conduct brake inspections, repairs, and adjustments in compliance with DOT regulations
- Service and repair electrical systems, cooling systems, transmissions, and drivetrains
- Complete accurate work orders and document parts used and services performed
- Maintain and organize mobile service truck, tools, and inventory
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding repair status and recommendations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably in a mobile or fleet service environment
- Strong knowledge of heavy-duty diesel engines (Cummins, Detroit, Paccar, etc.)
- Proficiency with diagnostic software and tools
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL a plus
- Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with DOT compliance and safety regulations
- Own tools preferred; reliable and detail-oriented work ethic
