3rd Shift Maintenance Technician

Looking for an experienced Electrical & Mechanical Technician to join our Vernon, CA facility on 3rd shift (9:00 PM–5:00 AM)! This is a hands-on opportunity for a skilled maintenance professional who knows food manufacturing, can troubleshoot equipment independently, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment. Spanish-speaking ability and food manufacturing experience are required. Pay is $34–$39/hour.

Responsibilities

Job Description

• Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on production and facility equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Maintain motors, sensors, VFDs, conveyors, gearboxes, and automated equipment.
• Troubleshoot 3-phase electrical systems and PLC-controlled equipment .
• Use multimeters, motor testers, PLC interfaces, and other diagnostic tools.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
• Document maintenance activities using CMMS systems such as UpKeep, SAP, or similar platforms.
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.
• Follow  GMP, HACCP, SQF, OSHA, and all food safety procedures .
• Support production and cross-functional teams to maintain equipment reliability and plant performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training or associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years of electro-mechanical maintenance experience in food manufacturing required.
• Spanish-speaking ability required.
• strong knowledge of food safety practices, including GMP, HACCP, and SQF.
