The Manager maintains existing client relationships and focuses on the overall administration of client compliance responsibilities. This includes researching abandoned property issues, reviewing unclaimed property reports, performing audit defense services, identifying transactional planning and ensuring conformity with Sarbanes‑Oxley requirements. The Manager is responsible for creating positive team member experiences, which lead to excellent client service and drive revenue and profit for the firm. Key Responsibilities Manage complex state abandoned property projects, including audit defense, managed audits, managed compliance, and asset recovery. Develop client workplans and schedules, and associate project deliverables. Prepare and conduct client presentations. Develop new business and expand business with existing clients. Travel to client locations to gather and analyze payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable support and other documentation for the audit defense, abandoned property reporting, or asset recovery process. Review and reconcile client data downloads and identify unclaimed property issues to research. Negotiate abandoned property resolutions with state agencies. Respond to client inquiries and requests from state agencies. Help train and mentor Consultants and other team members at various levels. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent in Accounting and/or Finance. Four to six years of financial audit or abandoned property related experience. Strong analytical, problem‑solving and people skills. Experience with Microsoft® Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and internet navigation and research (intermediate knowledge). Valid driver’s license. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage ambiguity, and work independently as well as in a team with professionals at all levels.
