Our client is a specialty manufacturing organization that is growing so much recently that they decided to build a new chemical processing facility in the Detroit, MI area. They have vision of tremendous growth- adding new customers and thus hiring more and more talent that this facility to aid in this growth. Our client provides their employees with a stable work environment, excellent benefits, growth potential, non-union manufacturing setting and the ability to work collaboratively with others.

• They are looking to hire a 3rd Shift Chemical Production Supervisor. Main duties include:Leading a small team of Chemical Operators on 3rd Shift.
• Ensuring safety and quality goals/initiatives are met
• Willing to ‘roll up the sleeves’ and help on the machines when needed
• Take immediate action to help on maintenance issues on the chemical machines when needed
• Lead by example (training and helping others move up within the organization)
• Track inventory by using MRP or ERP/SAP type systems

• Qualifications include:At least 3-5 years of experience leading small teams of associates in a heavy industrial environment (ideally a chemical plant)
• BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (or even Chemistry) strongly preferred
• Hands-on leadership (someone who was promoted from an Operator to a Leader is ideal)
• Ability to work nights
