Slitter Helper

Exciting opportunity to join a friendly team and grow your career within a dynamic, thriving organization! Our Steel Service Center is currently looking to immediately fill a Slitter Helper position due to recent volume increases and demand for our specialized products and services.

Candidates must have steel slitting experience!

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Setup overarm on recoiler according to work order
Setup slitter for accurate slitting according to work order
Setup for burr free slitting
Change slitter heads for job change over

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalency
Past slitting experience
Must be able to work any shift (morning, afternoon, night, graveyard)
General computer knowledge
Past experience in steel warehousing
Ability to operate a forklift as needed
Ability to read tape measure, micrometer, and caliper
