This role is ideal for an individual who combines strong manufacturing knowledge with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.Position Summary:As a Sales Estimator, you will work closely with customers, engineering teams, and manufacturing personnel to evaluate opportunities, develop cost estimates, and provide solutions for complex machining, fabrication, gear, and assembly projects.The successful candidate will serve as a key link between customer requirements and manufacturing capabilities, ensuring projects are accurately quoted, competitively priced, and successfully executed.Job Type: Full-timePay: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00Benefits: 401(k) matching, Health, Dental, Vision, Paid time off, BonusSchedule: 8-hour shiftLocation: Seattle, 98106Responsibilities:Prepare accurate cost estimates and quotations for machining, fabrication, tooling, assemblies, and custom manufacturing projects.Establish production plans, manufacturing methods, and costing strategies to support customer requirements.Collaborate with customers to understand project specifications and recommend manufacturing solutions.Coordinate prototype development and production requirements with both new and existing customers.Support gear and gearbox projects in partnership with our gear manufacturing division.Review engineering drawings, specifications, and customer documentation to determine manufacturing requirements and project feasibility.Utilize CAD/CAM software and manufacturing resources to develop accurate pricing and lead-time estimates.Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure project success.Develop and maintain strong customer relationships while identifying opportunities for business growth.Contribute innovative ideas and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years of experience in precision machining, fabrication, welding, or a related manufacturing environment.Knowledge of gears, gearboxes, and geared systems is highly desirable.Experience estimating and quoting precision-machined components, fabricated assemblies, tooling, or high-tolerance manufacturing projects.Strong ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).Experience using CAD/CAM software to evaluate manufacturability and develop estimates.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Project planning, scheduling, or manufacturing management experience is a plus.Proven ability to build relationships with customers and internal teams.Why Join Our Team?This is an opportunity to become part of an accomplished manufacturing organization known for solving complex challenges and delivering exceptional quality.
