Integration & Test Engineer

Salary: $114,443 - 230,793 per year Requirements:

• We require a BS and/or MS in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• We look for 6+ years of experience in integration and testing of high-performance optical systems for aerospace applications.
• We expect experience creating AI&T documentation, including work instructions, travelers, alignment procedures, and test plans.
• We value hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, and optical GSE development.
• We require working knowledge of GD&T in accordance with ASME Y14.5M.
• We seek proficiency with CAD/CAE software, with SolidWorks preferred.
• We look for experience with optical alignment techniques in a laboratory environment.
• We expect experience supporting environmental testing such as vibration and TVAC.
• We require U.S. Person status, meaning U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident.

• We will lead the build, alignment, and test effort for high-performance optical systems used in aerospace applications.
• We will integrate sub-components and subsystems into electro-optical payloads and complete optical alignment, functional verification, performance checks, and environmental testing.
• We will collaborate with engineers, technicians, and technical program managers to plan AI&T activities.
• We will develop new tooling, processes, and supporting AI&T documentation.
• We will create AI&T procedures for electro-optical payloads and subsystems across spaceborne, airborne, and ground applications.
• We will select commercial off-the-shelf tools and test equipment, and design custom tooling as needed to support AI&T work.
• We will own and resolve complex technical issues that emerge during assembly and testing.
• We will develop risk-reduction tests to support mitigation efforts.
• We will lead technical execution on AI&T programs, including task delegation, technical oversight, design reviews, and customer communication.
• We will mentor junior engineers and help improve engineering standards and best practices.
• We will support proposals, technical presentations, and customer design reviews.
