Position Overview

The Pain Management Physician Assistant (PA) plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to patients seeking relief from chronic pain conditions. As a member of our dedicated team at Heritage Therapeutic Services, you will work directly with licensed physicians to assess, diagnose, and manage pain effectively. This is a full-time, onsite position at our state-of-the-art surgical center located in Lake Huntington, New York.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examination, and diagnostic tests, under the supervision of our board-certified physicians.
• Diagnose illnesses and develop customized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique conditions and needs.
• Perform interventional procedures and assist in surgical settings as appropriate to enhance patient care.
• Educate patients and their families about pain management strategies, treatment options, and preventive care initiatives.
• Document all patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and in compliance with state regulations and organizational policies.
• Participate actively in case discussions and multidisciplinary team meetings to enhance collaborative care approaches.
• Maintain an effective follow-up schedule to monitor patients’ progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, including individuals suffering from chronic pain syndromes, post-surgical pain, and other related conditions. Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current and active state licensure/certification to practice as a Physician Assistant.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably with a focus on pain management or other relevant specialties.
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic acumen, with the ability to interpret diagnostic data.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills essential for a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in pain management, physical medicine, or rehabilitation will be highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, specifically for documentation and patient management.
• Participation in ongoing education and training for pain management techniques and interventions.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 150,000 to 180,000, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
