Location: Phoenix, AZ Department: Accounting Status: Full-Time | MondayFriday, 8:00 AM5:00 PM | Non-Exempt

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Specialist to join our Accounting team. This position is responsible for supporting Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, account reconciliations, month-end activities, and other general accounting functions. The Accounting Specialist reports directly to the Controller and plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial records and efficient accounting operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist Accounts Receivable with posting cash receipts.
• Assist Accounts Payable with posting invoices and freight claims.
• Reconcile credit card transactions and statements.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Support collections of customer payments and deposits.
• Communicate with Pricing, Brand, and Marketing teams regarding customer pricing and promotional discrepancies.
• Assist with accounting projects and other duties as assigned.
• Communicate opportunities, concerns, and process improvements to accounting management.
• Collaborate effectively with Accounting, Sales, and Operations teams to support business objectives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of general accounting experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
• Positive, proactive, and team-oriented attitude.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, processes, and correspondence.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.
