Med-Surg Charge RN

Full-time Med-Surg Charge RN leads nursing staff on a medical-surgical unit, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based patient care. The role coordinates admissions, discharges, and direct care while mentoring staff and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. The position is based in a supportive healthcare setting in Ozark, AL.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate nursing staff on the Medical-Surgical unit during assigned shifts
• Ensure delivery of high-quality, evidence-based patient care
• Assist in admissions, discharges, and direct patient care as needed
• Act as a clinical resource and mentor to nursing staff
• Monitor staffing levels, manage scheduling needs, and ensure smooth operations
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with all hospital policies and procedures
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in the state of Alabama or compact license
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical-Surgical unit
• BLS certification required
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills:

• ACLS certification preferred or willing to obtain within 6 months
• Previous leadership or charge nurse experience strongly preferred
