We guide products throughout the execution cycle, focusing on analysis, positioning, packaging, promotion, and tailoring solutions to our users. As a Product Manager in the APaS Regulations and Data Use team, you will navigate a global landscape of emerging legislation to ensure Google’s Ads products remain compliant while protecting user trust and business interests. You will lead critical programs for data minimization, navigate AI and privacy regulations, and oversee EU user consent policy initiatives. You will balance technical execution with regulatory advocacy, working closely with Engineering, Legal, and Government Affairs to shape the future of the digital advertising ecosystem. The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $163,000‑$237,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary is determined by role, level, location, and experience. Compensation details reflected in US postings indicate the base salary only; bonuses, equity, and benefits are additional. Responsibilities Present product, financial, and operational assessments to inform executive decision‑making. Advise executive leadership (VP‑level) on regulatory risks, trade‑offs, and mitigation strategies. Partner with Government Affairs and Public Policy (GAPP) to influence Codes of Practice and advocate for technical definitions that minimize ecosystem disruption. Align engineering, legal, safety, and policy resources across Product Areas for a unified technical response to AI provenance and disclosure standards. Partner with Privacy Infrastructure Technical Leads, Ads, and cross‑Product Area Product Managers and Engineers to align policies and meet local legal requirements.
