Optometric Optician / Eyewear Specialist

Full-time, Monday-Friday

Pay: $17-$19/hour

Direct Hire Opportunity! Aventure is partnering with premier vision centers in Western Iowa to hire customer-focused Optometric Opticians . Whether you have hands-on optical experience or a strong customer service background with a desire to learn, this role offers hands-on training and career growth-including employer-provided study materials and support to earn your American Board of Opticianry (ABO) certification.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with frame and lens selections based on their style preferences and purchasing plans.
• Guide patients through contact lens insertion, removal, proper care techniques, and replacement schedules.
• Place frame and lens orders with laboratory vendors and manage clinic frame inventory.
• Operate optical technology, instruments, and software systems to ensure a seamless patient experience.

Qualifications & Skills

• High appreciation for top-quality patient care and strong interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable learning new technology, optical instruments, and computer systems.
• Efficient, resourceful, and capable of prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative attitude with an eagerness to learn industry best practices and grow professionally.

Compensation

• Pay rate $17 to $19/hour, depending on experience.
