Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) - Houston, TX (New Graduates Are Accepted)

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide speech and language therapy services in a school-based setting. The ideal candidate enjoys working with students, creates engaging therapy activities, and communicates effectively with supervising SLPs, teachers, and school staff.

Responsibilities:

• Provide speech and language therapy to students under the direction and supervision of a licensed SLP.
• Plan and lead engaging, student-centered therapy activities based on individual treatment goals.
• Complete timely and accurate session documentation and progress notes.
• Monitor and document student progress and communicate observations to the supervising SLP.
• Collaborate with teachers and other school personnel to support student needs.
• Maintain an organized therapy schedule and accurate student records.
• Follow all applicable state regulations and SLPA scope-of-practice requirements.
• Use appropriate student motivation techniques to encourage participation and progress.

Qualifications:

• Active Texas SLPA license.
• Ability to work under the supervision and direction of an assigned SLP.
• Student-centered approach with the ability to build positive relationships with students.
• Ability to work collaboratively with SLPs, teachers, and school staff.
• New graduates may be considered based on qualifications and overall fit.
