Title: Extended School Care Group Supervisor Reports To: Extended School Care Site Director Takes Direction From: Extended School Care Assistant Coordinator Schedule/Calendar: 6 hours per day - 7:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m and 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Salary: $26.31/hr. Summary: This position is responsible for the planning, preparation, and implementation of daily activities, ensuring a safe environment, monitoring the location and activity of the children in the group at all times, and supervising the Program Assistants and Assistant Group Supervisors. Essential Functions A Group Supervisor is responsible for planning, preparing and implementation of daily program activities for their assigned group. Oversees the safety and location of all children in the group at all times. Ensures proper clean-up and maintenance of toys, materials, and equipment daily. Supervises Program Assistants and Assistant Group Supervisors. Follows all PA Department of Human Services child care guidelines. Education Required A bachelor's degree in early childhood/elementary education or human services field (Documented experience working with children preferred.) or an associate's degree in early childhood/elementary education or human services field and three years of documented experience working with children. Certifications Pediatric First Aid and CPR will be required upon hire.
