R.W. Zant is seeking an experienced Industrial Refrigeration Technician to maintain and repair refrigeration systems within our refrigerated warehouse facility.

This is a hands-on role for a technician with experience working on freon-based refrigeration systems, compressors, electrical components, and facility equipment. If you enjoy troubleshooting equipment, solving mechanical issues, and working independently, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on industrial refrigeration systems
• Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration equipment and components
• Service screw, reciprocating, and semi-hermetic compressors
• Assist with troubleshooting single-phase and three-phase electrical systems
• Respond to maintenance and emergency repair calls
• Maintain facility equipment and warehouse infrastructure as needed
• Complete work orders and maintenance documentation
• Follow OSHA, EPA, and company safety procedures
• Work with outside contractors and service vendors when necessary

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years of industrial refrigeration experience
• Experience working with freon-based refrigeration systems
• HVAC/Refrigeration maintenance experience
• Bilingual English/Spanish
• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends and holidays

Preferred

• Three-phase electrical experience
• Experience in food distribution, cold storage, or warehouse environments
• Technical school or trade certification

Skills

• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of refrigeration systems and controls
• Understanding of OSHA and EPA safety standards
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Stand, walk, bend, climb, and reach throughout the shift
• Work in refrigerated and freezer environments, including temperatures as low as -20F
• Work at elevated heights using required safety equipment
• Safely operate maintenance tools and equipment
• Wear required PPE
