Job Summary Professionally trained individual who produces high quality radiographs and basic CTs for interpretation and diagnosis. Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background. Job Description Operate all equipment in an effective, safe and efficient manner. Employ proper radiographic positioning in accordance with current department procedures. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of all equipment, complying with house-wide BSI precautions. Follow the safety steps required to perform duties and maintain compliance with medical, state, and federal safety standards. Be proficient in all aspects of ordered CT procedures, providing diagnostic images for interpretation by the radiologist. Effectively utilize all necessary computer systems in compliance with HIPAA guidelines. Obtain and record all patient data as required by the medical center, state, JCAHO or other agencies; ensure proper charging, coding, and modifiers. Review images for high quality and assist in performing QC, QA, QI or ACR as necessary. Perform other duties as assigned. Education, Credentials & Licenses Education and National Credentials: Current CPR certification. Graduate of an approved accredited program of Radiologic Technology. ARRT® registered. Complete ARRT (CT) within 27 months of job assignment. Complete CT competency checklist within first 90 days of job assignment. Complete ARRT (CT) certification within 2 years of competency checklist completion. State Licensure Kentucky KBMIRT Radiation Operator's License – Radiography (Temporary or Permanent). Associate has 12 months from issuance of a Temporary KBMIRT Radiation Operators License Radiography to obtain ARRT(R). Indiana Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) License (Radiologic Technologist or Radiology Student Permit). Associate has 6 months from issuance of a Radiology Student Permit to obtain ARRT(R).
