Night Shift Electronic Assembly Technician

Job Description

• Assemble electronic components, sub-assemblies, and finished products according to work instructions, schematics, and bill of materials (BOM).
• Perform hand soldering, component placement, and mechanical assembly using hand tools and small power tools.
• Inspect assemblies for quality, accuracy, and workmanship; identify and report defects or discrepancies.
• Follow ESD, safety, and quality control procedures to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
• Operate basic test equipment to verify functionality of assembled units.
• Maintain clean and organized workstations during overnight production shifts.
• Meet nightly production goals while maintaining high quality and attention to detail.
• Accurately complete production logs, travelers, and shift reports.
• Communicate issues, shortages, or process improvements to supervisors during shift handoff.

Night Shift Focus

• Work scheduled overnight hours with minimal supervision.
• Maintain productivity and quality standards during extended or rotating night shifts.
• Support continuous manufacturing operations and time-sensitive production schedules.

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in electronic or mechanical assembly preferred.
• Basic soldering and ability to read assembly drawings or schematics.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Dependable attendance and ability to work overnight shifts.
