Controls/Automation EngineerWe are seeking a Controls/Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain industrial software applications and automation systems. This role involves working with .NET applications, PLC programming, and robotic systems to support manufacturing and automation processes.Key ResponsibilitiesArchitect, develop, and maintain desktop and embedded.NET (C#) applications that interface with industrial equipment such as:Cameras, sensors, conveyors, actuators, and robotic systemsDevelop and maintain PLC programs using Structured Text (IEC 61131-3), preferably with Beckhoff TwinCATProgram, configure, and troubleshoot Epson RC+ robot controllersIntegrate robotic handling and pick-and-place systems into automation workflowsImplement and debug industrial communication protocols such as:MQTTMODBUS (RTU/TCP)EtherCAT and other fieldbus/Ethernet-based standardsMaintain existing projects, enhance functionality, and develop new featuresReview and update technical documentationParticipate across the full software development lifecycleRequired SkillsPLC Programming Experience:Structured TextRockwell or Siemens platforms.NET / C# Development:Experience building industrial machine user interfacesMust have industrial or embedded UI experience (no gaming UI backgrounds)Strong experience leading or participating in technical discussions/meetingsAbility to work across the full development lifecyclePreferred SkillsRobotics experience (KUKA/Komau or similar preferred)Hands-on robotic programming (not just operating robots)Strong communication skills in cross-functional environmentsSelf-starter with proactive mindsetAbility to work independentlyEducationDegree not required with relevant experienceCandidates without a degree should demonstrate strong tenure and hands-on experienceInterview ProcessRound 1: 30-minute call with Hiring ManagerRound 2 (Onsite – approx. 2 hours):30-minute candidate project presentation30-minute panel interview30-minute Q&A session (6–10 participants)30-minute coding assessmentAdditional InformationSponsorship: Available (company can support in the future)
