About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join its executive leadership team. The COO will be a key figure in providing both strategic and hands-on leadership across various operational functions, including supply chain, logistics, warehousing, distribution, transportation, facilities, compliance, safety, and program operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient service delivery, supporting organizational growth, and enhancing community impact. This role involves leading day-to-day operations, driving strategic initiatives, overseeing multiple business functions, and establishing operational KPIs. The COO will also be tasked with fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence, as well as representing the organization with various stakeholders. Applicants for the COO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 10 years of progressive operations leadership experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior role. A strong background in supply chain, logistics, distribution, warehousing, or large-scale operational environments is essential. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing budgets, performance metrics, and process improvement initiatives, as well as excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and change management skills. While not mandatory, experience in nonprofit, food distribution, manufacturing, logistics, or community service organizations, as well as knowledge of food safety and regulatory compliance, is preferred. An advanced degree and bilingual skills are also a plus.
