What You'll Do

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team to develop and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Provide patient-centered care for a diverse medical-surgical population, including post-surgical, trauma, stroke, and hospice patients
• Educate patients and families using clinical pathways and evidence-based practices
• Demonstrate clinical expertise and share knowledge with team members
• Maintain effective communication through SBAR and interdisciplinary interactions
• Support safe and quality care delivery in a fast-paced environment
• Assist in maintaining a positive team environment and uphold unit policies

What You Need

• Valid Michigan RN license (or in process)
• Prior Med Surg experience preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a fast-paced setting

About the Assignment This position is based at McLaren Northern in Petoskey, MI, on a 60-bed Medical Surgical Unit with a diverse patient population. The unit emphasizes patient safety, quality care, and teamwork, supported by an active Shared Governance council. New team members will receive a comprehensive orientation to ensure a smooth transition and successful practice.
