Part-Time Tutor

TITLE: Part-Time Tutor (12 Hours Weekly/ Monday-Thursday)


QUALIFICATIONS: Current South Carolina Teacher Certification, preferred


Read2Succeed Literacy Requirement Instructional Endorsement preferred


High Schol Diploma requird.


Proficient technology skills.


Ability to collaborate with peers and administration.


Strong instructional skills inclusive of oral and written communication.


Ability to support students in reading and math.


Ability to organize and accurately collect and analyze student performance data


REPORTS TO: School Administration

Job Goal: To provide students with academic support in the areas of reading and mathematics in order to meet or exceed grade level performance expectations.


PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:


1. Provide targeted intervention directly aligned to classroom instruction.


2. Reinforce foundational reading and math skills.


3. Support students through identified intervention guided by Multi-Tiered System of Supports and Professional Learning Communities.


4. Monitor student progress and communicate regularly with classroom teachers and administration.


5. Utilize district-approved instructional resources and intervention materials.


6. Delivers intensive prescriptive instruction to students to increase academic achievement in reading and math.
7. Adjust groups dynamically based on ongoing student progress and current assessment data.


8. Communicates effectively with school personnel, community agencies, and parents.
9. Maintains confidentiality concerning student records.
10. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Up to 12 hours per week. This is a time-limited position (Monday-Thursday, 3 hours per day, October 15, 2026, through April 8, 2027). Compensation is $20.00 per hour without benefits.
