HR Consultant

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an HR Consultant for a well-established, community-focused organization in San Francisco with a collaborative and people-centered workplace. This is a part-time, temporary, onsite opportunity in San Francisco, CA , working approximately 20 hours per week for at least three months.


POSITION OVERVIEW:


The HR Consultant will provide hands-on support to a small HR team during a temporary leave, helping maintain smooth and responsive day-to-day people operations. This position will focus on benefits and leave administration, recruiting, employee support, and general HR processes while working closely with internal HR colleagues. The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, and comfortable stepping into an active environment where they can quickly become a trusted resource for the team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support employee benefits administration, including healthcare coverage, insurance, and related employee questions
• Coordinate and administer FMLA and other employee leave processes while maintaining accurate documentation
• Assist with recruiting activities, including candidate coordination and other hiring-related support
• Provide responsive day-to-day HR support to employees and internal HR team members
• Maintain confidential employee information, records, and HR documentation with a high degree of accuracy and discretion
• Partner with the HR team on administrative projects and evolving priorities to help maintain efficient people operations

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Hands-on experience administering FMLA, employee leaves, and benefits programs
• Experience supporting recruiting and other core HR functions
• Familiarity with ADP or a comparable HRIS/payroll platform
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities accurately and efficiently
• Collaborative and people-focused approach with the ability to work effectively within a small HR team and handle sensitive information appropriately

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:


This temporary position offers up to $56 per hour , depending on experience, and is expected to work approximately 20 hours per week onsite in San Francisco. The assignment is anticipated to last at least three months, with the possibility of evolving into a longer-term opportunity depending on future organizational needs. Equipment will be provided onsite for the duration of the assignment.
